Places Of Interest

(a) Ranmal Lake :




In the centre of old Jamnagar, on an island, are located two magnificient old structures, the Lakhota Fort, in middle of the Lake and Bhujia Kotha just near by to the Lake. Lakhota Fort is Jamnagar's Museum and its terraces display a fine collection of sculpture that spans from a period of the 9th Century to the 18th Century.

A beautiful palace inspired by the 'Victoria Memorial' of Calcutta with beautiful traditional carvings of birds, animals, creepers and plants. Its three domes are made of glass. The palace was built during the rule of His Royal Highness Jam Ranjitsinhji. A must see for all tourists.
(d) Bala Hanuman :


The Bala Hanuman Temple is at the southeastern side of Ranmal Lake (also known as Lakhota Lake), and here since 1st August 1964 and 24 hours a day, there's been continuous "Ram Dhun" of the invocation 'Shri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram'. This devotion has earned the temple a place in the Guinness Book of Records. Early evening is a good time to visit.

(e) Marine National Park (Pirotan Island)


" PIROTAN IsLAND" Only one MARINE NATIONAL PARK of its kind in India at Jamnagar Dist. Gujarat is situated almost 16 Nautical Miles away in Great Arabian Sea near Jamnagar. Area is almost 3.0 square k.m. of Island, and covered with Marine Trees, dense forest - "Mangroves" deep much. The Pirotan Island has beautiful scenarios, and Majestic view of Sunrise and Sunset.

162.89 Square Kilometers of Marine National Park and 457.92 Square Kilometers of Marine Sanctury in the Gulf of Kutch at Jamnagar offers exotic sightings for people willing to go on an adventure trip in this area.
